A Desktop Valuation is a report where the client sends through photographs and the necessary information pertaining to the Asset(s), via email. This is also known as either a “sight unseen valuation” or an “E-Valuation”. The Valuer does not complete a site inspection of the assets and relies upon the client to provide this information. During the current environment of COVID-19, Desktop Valuations are becoming popular as the pandemic has leaned towards “Zoom” as the new way of meeting. A Desktop Valuation can also be performed via “Zoom” or a similar platform but does not eliminate the fact that clients can send through the necessary documentation.
